ATTENTION:  GEORGE ROSS

The budget for the Political Science Department for Communications is
$3321. According to your memo we would have to pay $385 montly or $4642
yearly.

Please advise how we are pay for our monthly postage and regular monthy
long distance phone calls if we have to pay this additional monthly charge
of $385?

We clearly have no money in our budget to cover this outrageous decision to
have these charges paid out of our department budgets.

Who ever thought this one up has no clear understanding of the budget
contraints of the departments.  Perhaps George Ross should sit down with a
secretary and take a look at one's department budget and get an
understanding of our budget contraints.  I would be happy to show you my
ledger and point out that
I don't know if I will have left this to cover our communcation charges.

Decision making on a issue like this should involve an understanding of
departmental budgets. Obviously who ever made this decision has absolutely
no understanding of departmental budget constraints.

This is clearly outrageious!
