I have a suggestion to help faculty dealing with the loss of the printed timetable. There are some faculty who are not computer savvy. They will not be able to advise students using the on-line listing of courses. Why cannot the registration office do what it did in the past--make available computer printouts daily of class enrollments for all departments? Years ago a department member (or more commonly the secretary) would pick up one of these printouts and bring it back to the department office. That way we could tell at a glance which sections of a course were already closed. I realize that one can find that information on line, but, again, not every faculty member here is adept at using computers. And I know at least one department head who would prefer to have these printouts now. I would myself, though I do have ASIS training. It should not cost much to furnish each department a printout, so why not do it?
