“Music, Art, & the Environment:” music that is festive, lyrical, evocative, rhythmic, expressive, conceptual, and dramatic; compelling new visual art; and a relaxing outdoor festival. This is our 5th biennial Contemporary Music Symposium at UTC, and it’s full of exciting opportunities. Events on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, April 7-9, will offer something for almost everyone.

For a list of events, times, and locations, please see the news bulletin on the UTC home page, or visit www.utc.edu/MusicArtEnvironment.

The National Endowment for the Arts contributed significant funding for this Symposium, along with the Tennessee Arts Commission, Allied Arts of Greater Chattanooga, The UTC Departments of Music and Art, the UTC College of Arts and Sciences, and The UTC Speakers and Special Events Fund.

Collaborative partners include the Sequatchie Valley Institute and the Brevard College Music Department. The Association for Visual Artists is helping to spread the word about this Symposium.
