Colleagues,  

As my family and I prepare to move in the coming weeks, we're considering ways to get away from Bellsouth and "traditional" costs associated with phone service.  Are any of you familiar with Vonage or with voice over internet protocol?  

If you are familiar with the service and product, are you happy with it?  

What are the negatives?  

And what if we continue to need a fax line?  (Do we have to have a LAN line still?)
