Dr. Nick Honerkamp has recently received a contract for $3,573 from CLM
Engineering Associates to perform an archaeological survey and deep,
machine-assisted testing of a proposed barge unloading facility on the
right bank of the Tennessee River.  The purpose of this project is to
identify significant archaeological resources present in the approximately
3.6 acre tract adjacent to the Tennesseee River.  The Tennessee Historical
Commission considers this site to have a high potential for archaeological
resources.
