UTC staff and faculty,

I would like to announce the opening of our Student Succ ess Center on
campus.  Many have heard that this was in the planning stages for some
time now.  The Student Success Center is a joint effort between Academic
Affairs and Student Development.  The purpose is to provide students
with a centralized location to receive referrals and personal assistance
when they are struggling with college.  Dr. Robinson may be contacting
those departments who provide services to students so that she may learn
more about resources available for students.  Dr. Mary Robinson has
joined us from UTK.  We are very excited to have her, and she brings a
wealth of knowledge regarding student success and retention.  There will
be further announcements about new initiatives, goals and mission of
this Center.  Dr. Robinson is located in room 317 of the University
Center.  She may be reached at 4286.  Please join me in welcoming her to
campus.
