Thursday evening, starting about 7:15pm, there was serious network
problems on campus. These were caused by the core 5500 switch that
we have been having problems with. Rusty Leutz and Robbie Reel worked
very hard into the night last night (after 11pm) to restore the core
switch to working condition. They had to remove parts they had
replaced yesterday morning. Since there were on campus from 6am,
they put in an extremely long and hard day, for which we thank them
very, very much.
We will be having some very serious conversations with Cisco about
fixing the campus network problem permanently.
