Great news! The UTC Faculty and Staff Campaign this year reached an
all-time record high with gifts and pledges totaling $83,929 - a terrific
15 percent increase over last year. Thanks for YOUR generous support!

In a year of uncertainty over state funding and national security, it is
encouraging to know that employees of Chattanooga's university care enough
to support higher education - not just with words, but with gifts of money,
too.

Last year's Faculty and Staff Campaign total was $72,511. Also last year,
304 faculty and staff members participated while there were 331
contributors this year. Payroll deduction was again very popular with 175
participants, up from 157 last year.

Thanks go to everyone who gave, whatever the size of gift. I would also
like to thank each of the Building Captains, who so greatly added to this
year's campaign, and especially those whose departments were 100 percent in
their giving. The Building Captains are: Mal Long, Susan Taylor, Linda
Hobart, Tom Patty, Jackie Tate, Connie Ratchford, Sue Carroll, Arma
Broomfield, Mary Scott, Cindy Ashley, Peggy Tucker, April Anderson, Joan
Dunn, Marge Fergason, Stephanie Orr, Teresa McKinney, Sheila Delacroix,
Margaret Doyle, Felicia Lowe, Beth Dodd, Tom Losh and Bill Williams.

As Chair of the Faculty and Staff Campaign, I am grateful for all you do
for UTC. We are fortunate to have such a loyal and dedicated faculty and
staff.

Richard Brown
Vice Chancellor for Finance and Operations
