As a resident of Highland Park, I would like to personally invite any of
you interested in historical homes and diverse neighborhoods to consider
participating in our annual Tour of Homes event scheduled for Saturday,
October 22, 2005 from 10am - 4pm. There are 12 restored homes on the
tour this year ranging from cozy bungalows to large American Four
Squares. We are also delighted to have the use of the Lookouts Trolley
this year. There will be trolley stops along the tour so you many ride
and walk as needed. In addition to the tour, neighborhood residents are
participating in a fall porch decorating contest to showcase one of the
best features of our neighborhood: our wonderful, old-fashioned
porches.
The tour will begin at the Deli Man & Cake Lady eatery located on
McCallie Avenue; there is plenty of parking available.
Tickets are $20 per person or $30 for two. I am happy to personally
sell tickets as is my colleague and fellow Highland Park resident, Lisa
Flynt ([log in to unmask]).
If you would like a flyer with more details about the tour I'll be happy
to email you one.
