April 18-24 marks National Library Week, a time to rediscover all that our nation’s libraries, librarians and library workers have to offer and why there’s something for everyone @ your library.

This year, the Lupton Library joins the American Library Association and libraries across the country in encouraging our users to learn more about both new and traditional resources available.

As the academic year draws to a close, the staff of the Lupton Library would also like to thank our users for making this year so successful and productive. Between July 2003 and February 2004, the following library usage statistics have shown an impressive increase compared to the same period one year earlier:

Library attendance was up 20 percent.
Book circulation statistics went up 12 percent.
InterLibrary Loan requests were up 101 percent.
Circulation of wireless laptops increased 1,078 percent!

If you haven't visited the Lupton Library recently, National Library Week is a great time to see what’s new and discover how librarians and library workers can provide you with the resources and services you need when you need them.
