The Creative Discovery Museum is putting together educational programming
for "In the Heart of the Home," a traveling exhibit opening in January that
features modern-day kitchens from Thailand, Greece, and Mexico.
In hopes of making this an authentic, respectful, and successful
exhibit, they are looking to members of the international community,
(specifically those of GREEK, MEXICAN and THAI heritage) to offer expertise
and input. They are having a particularly difficult time finding people of
Thai heritage.
If you know of any students or individuals in the community from
these cultures who could help - either volunteering a few hours in the next
few months to provide input and feedback to the museum's ideas, or
volunteering time at the museum talking with visitors once the exhibit
opens in January - please let me know via e-mail, or contact Kara Whaley at
the museum at 756-2738 ext. 280.
        Thanks! - BK
