Sasakawa Fellowships enable recipients to participate in a summer institute
on "Incorporating Japanese Studies into the Undergraduate Curriculum" at
San Diego State University. The fellowships are awarded to faculty and
administrators who have the potential to impact undergraduate education and
have no prior experience in Japanese studies. The four-week program
consists of seminars, lectures, readings, and workshops on the major
historical, political, economic, and cultural trends and achievements of
the Japanese people.
