UTC faculty, staff, and students who are not yet convinced that America
should invade Iraq may wish to join the peaceful protests which take place
each Wednesday from Noon to 1:00 PM at Miller Plaza downtown. I went last
week and encountered several UTC faculty, staff, and students among the
crowd there, all quietly standing and waving at the passing cars. It was a
fascinating and educational experience, one that renewed a bit of my faith
in America. For those who are interested, I believe there will also be a
peace march this Saturday from Coolidge Park to Miller Plaza starting around
10:00 AM.

Whatever your convinctions, I know you'll join me in hoping for a quick and
lasting end to the conflict with Iraq. Hope to see some of you on
Wednesday.
