Ms. Patty Boardwine:
Ms. Boardwine has been involved in the anti-sexual violence movement for
over 16 years. Ms. Boardwine is the Sexual Assault Program Director at BWI
Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Program in Crossville, TN. Prior to
joining BWI, Ms. Boardwine served as Coordinator of Rape Crisis Services at
the Sexual Assault Crisis Center in Knoxville, TN (1986-98) and as Sexual
Assault Program Consultant/Trainer at the Tennessee Coalition Against
Domestic and Sexual Violence, Nashville, TN (1999-2000).
Ms. Boardwine is co-author of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault
Interdiction, a law enforcement training curriculum produced by the
Tennessee Law Enforcement Academy, Tennessee Domestic Violence State
Coordinating Council and Tennessee Coalition Against Domestic Violence and
Sexual Assault. Ms. Boardwine also authored Sexual Assault: A Legal and
Medical Crisis (1995) and developed the Rape Prevention and Education
Resource Directory (1999).
Ms. Boardwine has presented numerous training and education programs
throughout the state of Tennessee and has also presented at the National
Coalition Against Domestic Violence and the National Coalition Against
Sexual Assault national conferences. Ms. Boardwine has been a governing
board member of the Tennessee Task Force Against Domestic Violence and
served as the president of the East Tennessee Victim's Rights Task Force
and the Tennessee Coalition Against Sexual Assault
