It has been brought to my attention that some advisors are telling
students that General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry lectures and labs
can be taken separately because they are listed as separate courses.
This is INCORRECT.  They are co-requisites and we are checking for them.
Please do not encourage students to sign up for them separately.  Only
after the two courses have been taken together can a student repeat only
one of them if necessary.
