Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Race For The Cure
Sunday, September 25, 2005.
McKenzie Arena 2:00pm.

Notice to Residents/Faculty/Staff/Students in and around UT Chattanooga
 
Please be advised that the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Race For
The Cure will take place Sunday, September 25, 2005 on the campus of UT
Chattanooga from 12:00 Noon to 5:00 PM. We expect approximately 6-7,000
participants. UT Chattanooga is a ³Silver² Presenting Sponsor of Race For
The Cure. Currently over 200 students, faculty and staff have registered to
participate with an additional 200+ volunteering to assist.
 
This event will take place on the city streets and will require several
street closings. The City of Chattanooga has granted a permit to close the
streets listed below to vehicular traffic during the running of this event.
 
n   East 5th Street from 5th Street Parking Garage to Collins

n   Mabel to Manker Patten Tennis Center Parking Lot

n   Exit Ramp from Mabel to Amnicola Hwy

n   Right lane of Amnicola Hwy from the Mabel Street to Boathouse
    Restaurant.

n   Tennessee Riverwalk from Boathouse Restaurant to Mabel Street.

n   3rd street from Mabel to Houston

n   Houston Street from 3rd Street to Vine Street

n   Vine Street from Houston to University Center

n   Douglas Street from Oak Street to Mabel.

We respectfully request residents and students not to use these streets or
park their vehicles on these streets during the hours of 11:00 AM to 5:00
PM, September 25, 2005 in order to facilitate the running of this event.

The City of Chattanooga Police will close the above mentioned streets to
vehicular traffic during the running portions of the event and will permit
emergency vehicles only. Please make plans accordingly if you plan to use
your vehicle during these hours.

Thank you for your cooperation. Please consider participating in the Komen
Race For The Cure. You can register for this event at The McKenzie Arena on
Saturday, September 24th from 1:00 - 5:00.
