We would like to invite you to view two web-based, instructional aids
for you and your students.
The library has designed an Information Gateway which leads students
through the basic steps involved in finding and evaluating information
for both coursework and personal needs. The library's Information
Gateway emphasizes the critical thinking skills involved in the
information research process and defines some basic research
terminology.
The library's Information Gateway is available at:
http://www.lib.utc.edu/gateway/index.html
One component of the library's Information Gateway is a series of
web-based research guides called "Library Pathfinders."
Each Library Pathfinder is dedicated to a single subject area and each
provides a quick method of identifying some of the research tools
available in the UTC Library for that subject area. Each Pathfinder
also suggests useful subject headings for browsing the library's
catalog.
The Library Pathfinders are available at:
http://www3.lib.utc.edu/library/pathfinders/
The library's Information Gateway is continuously evolving, so as always
your comments and suggestions are welcomed.
