Dear Colleague,
On Monday, September 22, Dr. Joe Johnson will make his first visit to
Chattanooga since being named Interim President.
The President and I hope that you will be able to join us in a reception to
re-establish President Johnson's warm ties to our campus. We are planning
a reception in the Tennessee Room of the University Center from 3:00 - 4:00
p.m. on Monday afternoon. The President wishes to greet as many of you
personally as possible. He will also make a few brief remarks near the
conclusion of the reception before returning to other obligations in
Knoxville that evening.
Just prior to the reception at 2:00, the President and I will be inviting
The Executive Committee of the Faculty Senate, the Executive Committee of
the S G A, the Chair of the Exempt Staff Council, the Chair of the Employee
Relations Committee, the Deans' Council, and the Executive Council to meet
together with the President to hear his views on the university and
interact with items of interest to UTC.
I look forward to helping welcome President Johnson back to the U T
President's office - and back to UTC and hope that your schedule allows you
to join us.
Bill
