The School of Nursing has received two awards from the U.S. Department of
Health and Human Services for graduate student traineeships.

An award of $60,571 will support full-time students in the Master of
Science in Nursing program while preparing them for advanced adult health
practice as clinical specialists, educators, and family nurse
practitioners. Another $27,558 award will provide traineeships for
students in the Nurse Anesthetist concentration.

Both of these awards will assist UTC's School of Nursing in recruiting,
training, and graduating nurses who will be prepared to serve in
medically-underserved areas. Please join us in congratulating Dr. Dana
Werternberger and the School of Nursing faculty on these awards.
