WORKSHOP TODAY:
The workshop open to all faculty, Designing Effective Writing Assignments,
will be held this afternoon (Wednesday, 10/9) from 3-4 in the Guerry
Center's Flag Room. There are still three copies of John Bean's _Engaging
Ideas: The Professor's Guide to Integrating Writing, Critical Thinking, and
Active Learning in the Classroom_ available for people who haven't yet
reserved a copy.
FUTURE WORKSHOPS:
Two identical sessions of Handling the Paper Load: Responding to Student
Writing will be offered:
Monday, October 21 from 3-4 OR
Tuesday, October 22 from 3-4. (A newly scheduled session).
Location to be announced.
There are still several copies of _Engaging Ideas_ available for faculty
who reserve a spot at either of these workshops. Send an email to
[log in to unmask] with "workshop RSVP" in the subject line if you want to
reserve a copy of Bean's book.
