I am posting this message for a student. Catherine Koffman was running this morning around 8:15am near the UTC area when she was approached by a very sweet small female black puppy. A nearby construction worker said that the dog had been following him around since around 6am. She appears to belong to someone, as she seems well socialized and has on a red collar. She has white speckled feet and appears to be a lab mix. If this is your dog, Catherine can be reached at 865-387-3300. Since she lives in campus housing, she will likely have to take the dog to a shelter today, but call her and she can tell you where the dog can be found.
PLEASE, if you bother to put a collar on your dog, please also bother to put an identification tag on it or it serves no purpose. ID tags can be engraved for $6 in many locations. Do not consider yourself a responsible pet owner unless you bother to ID your dog.
