Astronomers job used to be to ansewer the old and often asked question
"What time is it?". Now the greedy and ignorant tell us what time it is.
Sunday morning you will have to set your clocks ahead one hour for daylight
savings time. When the railroads set up time zones they were to be one hour
wide. In other words, the 75 west longitude is EST and 90 west is CST. Here
we are in Chattanooga at 85 west, so our local noon is one hour and 40
minutes behind EST in the spring and summer. That means it will not be dark
at the Observatory until 9 or 9:30 pm. We should have at lease been on CST.
I remember when Chattanooga use to switch from one to the other.

Have Fun
