It is with great sadness that I inform the UTC community of the passing of
Vanessa Free.  Vanessa was a freshman, music major from Kingsport, TN.

Vanessa shared her talents with the Chattanooga community and campus as
part of the Chattanooga Singers and Singing Mocs.  She was also a member of
Kappa Delta Sorority at UTC.

Vanessa was killed in a car accident early Sunday morning.  We will update
you as soon as funeral arrangements become available.  For her untimely
passing, Vanessa will greatly missed by her many friends and classmates.

Other women injured in the car accident included Leticia Skae, Jessica
Watts, Renee Krueger.  They are currently at Erlanger Medical Center.
Adrienne Teague was treated and released.
