Hey all,
Well, I have a darling of a dog that I need to find a good home for. I adopted him from the humane society where I volunteer. As bad luck would have it, another one of my dogs will not accept him into the pack. He is as lovable as can be; it is the other dog that will not make peace. I have a large back yard for the dogs, and he has to be kept on a sixty-foot runner in the front. This is far superior to life in a kennel, but I think he needs a yard of his own to better enjoy life. I would love to keep him, but he deserves an ideal situation.
So, here's the specs...
*approx. 5 years old
*male (neutered)
*part beagle, part basset hound (these guys are *sometimes called "beagle hounds."
*kind disposition
*fully vaccinated
*fostered by me, so I know him well.
*The best case scenario would be a family with no dogs (or at least not another fully grown male) with a large yard for him to roam and play.
*He would be an ideal indoor dog.
*Basic obedience is already in place (come, stay, shake, etc.)
*leash trained
*He was "owner surrendered" to the shelter after being with a family for years, but I'm not sure if he's housebroken.
I love the guy already, and I am very serious about animals. So I don't want him to go to just anyone; I want him to go the right home. He's about five, like I said, but he could easily live another seven or more years with proper veterinary care. Since he's grown, he's far past that puppy stuff of chewing and chewing and romping and chewing. He fetches, and he likes to be outside.
If you have any questions at all about him, please email me or call me at 423-619-0705, and I'll get back to you asap.
His name is Brutus.
Thanks,
Mike
