The UTC Cress Gallery of Art announces its next exhibition:

Joe Ramiro Garcia:  Paintings and Monotypes
Feb 01 - March 09, 2005

Artist's Lecture followed by a public reception Wed. Feb. 02, 2005
from 5:15 to 7:30 pm.

A native of Houston, Texas, now living and working in Santa Fe, NM,
Joe Ramiro Garcia is an emergent artist who possesses a strong
painterly hand and a wonderful sensitivity to color.  His
contemporary imagery is expressionistic yet recognizable, well
thought, and playfully inventive in the spirit of Henri Matisse, Paul
Klee, or Joan Miro;  highly individualized, uniquely composed work,
with complex, rich surfaces and resonant themes.

UTC Cress Gallery of Art is located in the Fine Arts Center, corner
of Vine and Palemtto Parking available in any University parking lot
