A quick note to inform everyone that I am the newly elected chair of the
Committee on Committees of the Faculty Senate.  The Committee is
scheduled to meet next week to deal with several issues, including
appointing people to fill a number of vacancies.  If you have questions
or concerns about committee appointments, please let me know.

This is already proving to be an interesting year.  Hopefully, all
committees will be active as we deal with the business of the university
faculty.
