Sunday, November 10, at 8:00 p.m. in the Roland Hayes Concert Hall,
the UTC Department of Music will present the second event of the
Faculty Concerts Series. The recital will feature pianist Sin-Hsing
Tsai in a recital of music by Beethoven, Debussy, Schumann and
McNair. Admission is free.
Dr. Tsai has performed in Asia, Europe, North and South America. She
is a frequent guest artist at music festivals, both as soloist and in
chamber ensembles. She has also been featured on the Latin American
television network Cablevisión. A strong advocate of new music, Dr.
Tsai has premiered many compositions in different settings and
styles. In Los Angeles, she developed a very successful private
studio practice and held adjunct faculty positions at the University
of Southern California and Los Angeles City College. In the fall of
2002, Dr. Tsai joined the UTC faculty as Assistant Professor of piano.
