The American Association of State Colleges and Universities has
announced the 2006 Sasakawa Fellowship competition. The Sasakawa
Fellowship provides support for participation in a three week intense
summer institute on the study of modern Japan. Please see the
announcement below for additional details. If you are interested in
making application to this program, please contact the Grants office.

Allows faculty to attend the 2006 Nat'l Faculty
Dev. Inst. on Incorporating Japanese Studies into
the Undergrad Curriculum, held on the San Diego
State Univ. campus. Up to 20 awards will be granted
to full-time faculty members who teach
undergraduate students, academic administrators,
and librarians at member institutions of AASCU.
Provides a $ 5,500 Sasakawa Fellowship for each
participant selected. See
