Dr. John Graef, department head in mathematics, was recently invited by
the National Science Foundation (NSF) to serve as a reviewer for its Computer
Science, Engineering, and Mathematics (CSEMS) grant program.

The CSEMS program awards scholarships to underrepresented students in
Computer Science, Engineering and Mathematics to encourage and support
them in completing their degrees. UTC, under the leadership of Dr. Graef
and Phil Kazemersky and Cecilia Wigal in Engineering, has received more
than $400,000 in this competitive program in recent years.

Dr. Graef will serve as a NSF reviewer in April of this year. Please join in
congratulating him on being recognized for his expertise in this area.
