Dear Colleagues,
Perhaps those of you who will be dealing with city administrators on the
Vine Street issue could enlighten them about the mythical nature of
"nonschool hours."  For instance, I've heard a rumor that UTC scientists
live in their offices and laboratories, going home only for national
holidays and occasional occurences, such as the birth of a child or the
delivery of a major appliance. For these folks the concept of "nonschool
hours" may not be terribly meaningful.
For the rest of us, opening up Vine Street isn't a good idea either.
