A reminder to the UTC community, Wally (Famous) Amos will speak at UTC on
October 28, at noon, in the Benwood Auditorium, in the Engineering, Math &
Computer Science Building and will address the topic of "The Secrets to
Entrepreneurial Success."
Mr. Amos is the founder of Famous Amos Chocolate Chip Cookies, and the
author of 4 current books. Much of his speech will relate to portions of his
most recent book "The Cookie Never Crumbles". His most recent
entrepreneurial venture is the launch of "Chip & Cookie", two chocolate
chip cookie character dolls created by Christine Harris-Amos, as
"Ambassadors of Reading" in association with the National Center for Family
Literacy to encourage children to read and learn together.
UTC Professor, Dr. Samuel Spralls will critique Mr. Amos's remarks.
Sponsored by the Scott L. Probasco, Jr. Chair of Free Enterprise, this event
is free and open to the public; however, seating is limited and on a
first-come, first-served basis.
For more information on the speaker and speech, contact the Probasco Chair
at 425-4118.
Faculty wishing to arrange seating and/or signature collection for their
students contacts Debra Stevens.
