As part of the Southern Literature Conference, there will be two screenings
of the movie Paradise Falls at the Bijou this Saturday, April 17 at 7:00 pm
and Sunday, April 18 at 1:00 pm. Paradise Falls is an independent feature
film written, produced and directed by people from the southern
Appalacians. It is the story of a young tobacco farmer in 1934. The film
has won a number of awards at film festivals throughout the country.
