I am pleased to announce that the Division of Continuing Education is once
again offering the Certified Professional Secretary (CPS) Review Course
beginning February 24, 2005.  This ten week course is an in-depth review
for the Certified Professional Secretary (CPS) examination.  The CPS rating
is the achievement of the internationally recognized standard of
proficiency in the secretarial and administrative support professions.  Not
only is this an opportunity for staff to receive a 9% pay increase, but it
is also an opportunity to enhance knowledge and skills in the profession.

The CPS examination covers three main subject areas including Finance &
Business Law, Office Systems & Administration, and Management.  UTC is an
authorized testing center for the CPS examination which is given the first
Saturday in May and November.

When:   TH -- February 24-April 28, 2005 (1:00-4:30 p.m.)
Cost:   $425 (UTC Staff will receive a 10% discount!)

* Books should be purchased prior to the first class
