Does anyone know where to purchase a telescope locally (a nicer scope,
not like the ones at Toys R Us), or any advice on what to purchase as a
beginner scope?  I was looking at the Orion XT8.  This telescope is for
my child, but I was wanting to get a decent quality one that lasted for
a while so that his (and my :) ) experiences with exploring the skies
are a good one.
