As chair of the exempt staff counsel, I approached Xavier Flores 
about a return of faculty and staff dining. Xavier wants to provide 
this service but needs 40 to 50 meals per week to break even (40 will 
do if it is the full spread, a few more if a large number elect salad 
bar only). Folks, we all need the break. There is a world to change, 
helicopter moms to gossip about, cookies to eat, pie and ice cream to 
savor; all  without the crush and roar of the UC's second floor. Lets 
face it, this would be a great place to discuss my grammar in this 
email! Let's work to bring our private dining back. Xavier proved 
last year that he can staff this properly, provide an excellent 
atmosphere and more than give us our monies worth.

I would like to get a tally to advertise to Aramark of individuals 
who would be able to eat with us once a week if Xavier tries this 
again. I have asked Xavier to work on Tues / Wed - or - Wed / Thur to 
provide the broadest range possible of support. He is agreeable but I 
need the head count to be persuasive. If you would favor a specific 
day of the week, PLEASE let me know this as well.  Here we go trying 
teamwork folks, it works every time.
