Our local noon was at 1:40 PM. Now, it is 12:40 PM +/- 4 minutes. At our
local noon time the shadow of a vertical stick in the ground will point to
geographical North. Don't get lost:)
The 4 minutes is due to the Earth speed changing as we travel about the Sun.
Orbit ain't a circle. Feel the Earth move?:) Remember those funny figure 8's
on world globes?
