Subject: RE: History of the ACJS International Section

Hi Obi:

I had to miss the ASC meeting this year to save money for my sabbatical leave next semester. I'll be going to Vienna and doing some research at UNODC. It will be an expensive, but enjoyable, time.

I will, however, be attending ACJS in Seattle next March. I look forward to reading the history and to having it available to show at the General Business meeting. If you need any email or contact information from some of the "old-timers" to help with dates, people, or other items just let me know and I'll try to track them down for you.

Thanks again for your willingness to take this task,
Phil

Dear Phil,

I thought I was going to see you at the ASC meeting in Los Angeles, and two other persons asked me of you at the conference. Well, I am writing now to tell you that I will send to you the history of the ACJS International Section by December or January.

Best regards,

Obi Ebbe

Subject: ACJS International Section request for nominations

Greetings International Section Members

I have been appointed chair of the nominations committee of the International Section of the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences. We are looking for people who would be willing to run for the following positions: Vice Chair (installed in Seattle to serve a two-year term; this position becomes Chair in March 2009). Executive Counselor (we will be voting for all 3 exec counselor positions).

It would be very helpful if interested members of IS would let us know of their interest to run for one of these positions.

If you are willing to be considered please email me. Indicate which position you would like to be considered for and include a brief statement that can be placed on the ballot.

If you know of other members of the International Section who would be suitable candidates please recommend them to me.

Thank you very much for considering this request.

Best wishes,
