Chattanooga has its very own Women's Professional Football (the
Chattanooga Locomotion) team in which 3 students from UTC play including
myself (I used to be adjunct faculty for the EHLS department in Spring
of 2002)  This is the real stuff folks, not powder puff, not flag
football, and definitely not two hand touch.  We wear helmets and
shoulder pads, and hit really hard!!!  So we have 3 more home games that
you can come watch.  Saturday April 26, Saturday May 17, and Saturday
May 31, 2003.  Tickets are $12 at the gate, $6 for children 6-12.  If
you want to try to get cheaper tickets, you can purchase them up to the
Thursday before each game.  They would be $10 for adults, and $5 for
children 6-12.  All kids under 6 get in FREE!!!!  So please call me at
266-5299 and ask to buy Locomotion Tickets.  I know some of you may just
be college football fans, but this is WOMEN PLAYING FULL CONTACT
FOOTBALL.  We are professionals, but we are not in it for the money
which may be why some of you are turned off by professional football
players.  We play for fun and want you to know that women can play
too!!!!  I hope you will come see us play.  It is something I enjoy, and
now that you know about it, I think you will enjoy it too!!  Come see
for yourself!!!!!
