We are now entering the final week of our UTC United Way Campaign; we have
collected $70,000 to date towards our goal of $85,000.
To those of you who have already given-Thank You! If you have not returned
your pledge card, team captains will be contacting you to encourage your
participation. If you have not given, I respectfully ask that you consider
anew your support of the 42 United Way agencies and the valuable services
they provide to thousands of citizens in the Tennessee Valley.
You have been blessed to be a blessing to someone else. Won't you please
give? "A little change…can change a lot."
It has been my privilege and honor to serve as your campus co-chair, along
with Ms. Julia Cronin of the ERC. I continue to be amazed with the caring
spirit and generosity of giving by the UTC Family. I look forward to
seeing all of you at our Campus Victory Celebration.
Note: In an unprecedented show of community spirit, the management of all
four local news outlets are putting aside their competitive drive and
uniting behind United Way's annual fund-raising drive. Tonight, October
29, at 7:30 pm, WRCB's Bill Markham and Cindy Sexton, WTVC's Bob Johnson
and Kim Chapman, WDEF's Jerry Brown and Candice Lee and Fox 61's Scottie
Goodman and Dan Howell will present the case for supporting United Way of
Greater Chattanooga. I hope you will tune in.
