Tom Patty has received a $109,673 grant from NASA for the "Earth and Space
Science Education for Pre-Service Teachers" program. These funds will be
used to support the second year of a three-year program to evaluate and
implement high-quality teaching methods for earth and space science.

Under the direction of Mr. Patty, the program will continue to review
national, state, and local science education standards and current
institutional requirements for teachers, with the overall goal of improving
K-12 earth and space science instruction.

Congratulations to Mr. Patty on his efforts to promote science education
for teachers and students.
