Dr. Joseph Kizza of Engineering and Computer Science has been awarded a
stipend by the Institute for Mathematics and its Applications to attend a
summer workshop entitled "Wireless Networks" from August 8-10, 2001. The
workshop will be presented in cooperation with the Society for Industrial
and Applied Mathematics and will address several issues, covering
theoretical mathematical and computational aspects, that arise in the
design and analysis of wireless networks.

Congratulations to Dr. Kizza on receiving this award, which will allow him
to gain exposure to and information about important issues and developments
in his field.
