I know that if you loose money in vending machines for canned soda you can
be reimbursed at the Bursar's Office. I do not know if this applies to
situation in the cafeteria but I feel students or others should be
reimbursed for their loss. I recommend drinking water until this problem is
resolved.

For real. I think I have succeeded in getting a drink out of it maybe
twice this semester. It's constantly "down."

I think it would be great for our computer science students studying
user interface design. "More bells and whistles is not always a better
approach...."

No, not in the very short term ... but long term it's a killer. Given
my bad luck with this machine and the (regular) drink machine on the
third floor of EMCS, I have taken to the "mini-fridge and a 12-pack"
approach. Not only does that avoid problems with machine malfunctions,
but also the exorbitant prices of $1.25 for a 20-ounce drink or 65 cents
for a little 12-ounce can. I can buy 12 of those for $3 (sometimes
less) at a local grocery store. Problem solved!
