Our students are trying to establish a chapter of this important institution
at Stanford University. I'd like to encourage faculty, especially in the
social sciences and the humanities to support this effort and to bring it to
the attention of students who may be interested.

 

 

UTC Roosevelt Institution Steering Committee Meeting, 3:00 pm every
Wednesday at 315 Fletcher Hall. 

 

The Roosevelt Institution is an international network of student think tanks
which connect student ideas to the political process, and serves as the
incubator for tomorrow's leaders.  The Roosevelt Institution holds policy
seminars and workshops at member universities, and publishes the Roosevelt
Review; a peer review journal.  The Roosevelt Institution is a partner with
the magazine The Internationalist.  There are over 120 active or organizing
chapters at universities from American to Yale.  Do you want the opportunity
to interact with students from these schools on a professional level?  Here
is your chance!

 

Chapters have policy centers focused on a variety of issues including clean
politics and voting rights, economic opportunity, education, energy and
environment, gender and sexual orientation, health care, international
development and democratization, international security, justice, the media,
the political system, progressive religious perspectives, race and
immigration, science and technology, and many more.
