Chattanooga Captures Men's Title At Southern Conference Cross Country Meet

LEXINGTON, Va. (Oct. 30)-- East Tennessee State University captured the
women's title while Chattanooga captured the men's title at the Southern
Conference Cross Country Championships held this morning at Rockbridge County
High School in Lexington, Va.

The Chattanooga women finished fourth. Amanda Lynch (UTC), Andrea Davis
(UTC), Becky Slick (UTC) were named to the All- Southern Conference Team.

In the men's race, five runners from Chattanooga finished in the top 15 as
the Mocs defeated Appalachian State by 53 points (41 to 94). . . . Leading
the way for Chattanooga was Curtis Gadula who finished second with a time of
25:47.78. . . . Freshman of the Year honors went to Chattanooga's Ryan
Kendall who finished tenth place at 26:12.46. Danielle Lenarduzzi (UTC) and
Kyle McLean (UTC) made All-Conference.
