RE:             Educational Assistance (Fee Waiver) Policy


We are pleased to announce that, effective 1/01/2000, regular full-time
faculty and staff may enroll without payment of fees in up to a maximum of
nine (9) semester undergraduate or graduate credit hours per term for
courses offered at UTC and other UT campuses.  (This is an increase from
the previous fee waiver maximum of eight (8) credit hours).

Part-time regular faculty and staff working 50 percent or more may enroll
without payment of fees based upon their percent of effort as follows:

50-74 percent           Up to 4 hours
75-99 percent           Up to 6 hours
100 percent             Up to 9 hours
