Dear Colleagues,
 
I want to take this opportunity to thank Valerah Hodges and Jim Bowman for
the wonderful picnic last Wednesday.  Unfortunately, I was participating in
an AASCU (American Association of State Colleges and Universities)
conference and wasn't able to attend, but I heard great things about it.
Thanks go to the ERC and ESC members for volunteering to serve everyone. As
always, Shirley James and her crew from Aramark did a wonderful job.  
 
I look forward to being with you at the picnic on Friday, August 10.  We
will be welcoming around thirty-five new faculty to our campus.  I
understand that this will be a "Disco" picnic, and we'll have a "Best
Dressed Disco" contest.  I hope to see you there.
