What about administrative salaries?

I saw the article on the front page of the Chattanooga Times this morning
regarding salaries for professors.

I also received a copy of UTC Job Opeinings.

A description for a Principal Secretary for $7.83 an hour includes:

        Windows 98
        Compency in Microsoft Office
        Maintenance of department webpapge
        Editing manuscripts
        Maintaining and monitoring department budgets
        Processing grants and contracts
        High level of computer skills
        Mail merges/mass mailings
        Data base mangement
Process personnel forms for new hires - W4, I-9s
Process time reports for bi-weekly, student and gradutate assistants
Supervise Student Assistant and graduate assistants
        Editing/proofing reports
Bookkeeping - processing invoices and purchase orders

And guess what - Senior Secretaries with some college, technical or
business school training are paid a wopping $7.29 an hour.

Mary
