DECEMBER WRITERS RADIO SHOW
Looking for a gift for that writer or avid reader on your list this
season? Then listen to The Writers Show this Saturday, December 3 at
noon on WAWL 91.5 FM or on the internet at www.wawl.org. Guest, Sheila
Delacroix, from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Library will
talk about gift ideas for writers and readers. Her ideas range from
books on writing to budget gift certificates at used book stores. As a
member of the taskforce on 2006 Tale for One City, she also talks about
upcoming events and the books Chattanoogan's chose to read next year.
In addition, Andrew Woomer from Chattanooga State's Professional
Acting Program will read a chapter from A Tale for One City's book,
"Gifted Hands," by Ben Carson. This book is an inspirational memoir by
an African-American who struggled out of poverty to become a brain
surgeon famous for his operation to separate Siamese twins joined at the
head.
