The UHON Program is pleased to sponsor again this year the Second Annual UTC
Undergraduate Research Conference. Please mark your calendars for April 6
from 3:30-5:30. The event will be held in the Signal Mountain Room.

We will host a series of six 20-minute papers on diverse subjects, each
written by a UTC senior. All papers will be based on research completed by
the students in preparation for their departmental honors projects. The
conference will be a time to review some of the best undergraduate work
produced at UTC this year. Food will be served and a good time had by all.

NB: If you are a DHON project director and currently have a student engaged
in his or her second 495 course, please encourage that student to submit to
me a one-page abstract for a proposed conference paper. I will do my best to
personally inform all possible candidates of the event, but your support
here will be invaluable. All abstracts are due January 31st. The
Departmental Honors committee will select the papers for the conference.
Please note that while the event is sponsored by the UHON Program (and all
UHON seniors HAVE to submit abstracts), we are looking to include non-UHON
Departmental Honors candidates in the conference. Thanks!
