October is Disability Awareness month. Next week the Office for Students
with Disabilities will be hosting several events on campus. We would
like to invite faculty and staff to attend any of the events listed
below. We would appreciate if you could tell your students about the
activities.

In addition, this Saturday, October 14th in the First Tennessee Pavilion
from noon - 6 p.m. the City of Chattanooga will host Go!Fest.  For more

Free admission but you must have a ticket to enter. Tickets available at

Friday, October 20th
All Day
Administrator Adopt a Disability Day
Administrators will be shadowed by students with disabilities so the two
groups may have candid conversations about how these students navigate
campus, and the kinds of things that help make a disability manageable.
That activity will be followed by a panel discussion on Friday afternoon
at 3 p.m. in the Lookout Mountain Room, University Center.
